Septiclean Introduced to Septic System
Product is poured or flushed directly into the septic tank via the nearest toilet, inspection port, or access point.
Enzyme Activation
On contact with the tank environment, enzymes activate and begin breaking down the accumulated organic sludge layer at the base of the tank.
Organic Matter Liquefaction
The sludge layer is progressively liquefied and broken down into water-soluble compounds. Reduces sludge volume, restores tank capacity.
Bacteria Colony & Enzyme Multiplication
Beneficial bacteria establish a colony in the tank, multiply, and produce additional enzymes that extend treatment well beyond the initial application.
Drain Field Restoration
As the sludge layer reduces, flow through to the drain field improves. Organic clogging of the drain field is progressively cleared.

How do I introduce Septiclean into my septic system?

The easiest method is to pour or flush Septiclean directly through the nearest toilet to the septic tank. For systems with a visible inspection port, product can be poured in directly.
How long before I notice results?

Odour improvement is typically noticeable within 1–2 weeks. Drain flow improvement and sludge reduction build progressively over 4–8 weeks depending on existing accumulation and system size.
Does Septiclean work if I've recently used chemical drain cleaners?

Chemical cleaners can disrupt beneficial bacteria. Septiclean is specifically designed to restore this colony — but results may be slightly slower. We recommend pausing chemical drain cleaners when beginning a Septiclean programme.
Can Septiclean be used in a system that already needs pump-out?

If the tank is critically full and overflowing, emergency pump-out is recommended first. Once tank capacity is restored, Septiclean can restore biological performance and delay the next pump-out significantly.
